UKeurovision started organising events early in 2008 with the UK Eurovision Preview Party, with 12 of the competing acts for the competition appearing live in London. A week after the Eurovision Song Contest, the UK Eurovision Winners' Party saw this year's winner, Dima Bilan and runner up, Ani Lorak back on stage in London along side former British winners, Bucks Fizz and special guests. The new Schlager Party monthly event has quickly become another success story for the team.

In Belgrade, organisers were asked to put on an event for all the travelling fans of the competition, and the first UK Eurovision Schlager Party was held. The event packed out the Eurocafe - an area especially for fans travelling to the competition and a great night was had by all.

Following the announcement that The London Schlager Party initiative had ended, the UK Eurovision organisers were asked to step in to prevent Schlager Parties becoming a thing of the past. Happily, they agreed and began to search for a venue in the heart of London. The new schlager parties will be held at The Enclave. Our good friends at London's Swedish pub, the Harcourt Arms will also be helping and party goers can still enjoy watching all the Swedish Eurovision heats at the Paddingdon based pub.

UKeurovision will be managed musically by DJ Dave Simmons, a master Eurovision Song Contest DJ with a love of all things schlager. He has proved with the London Schlager Parties, and his work to create the UKeurovision brand, that he is the ideal man to dj the event. Living in London and regularly featuring at the VIP party decks at during the Eurovision fortnight, DJ Dave was the perfect choice!

The UKeurovision events already reached cult status with a core group of schlager crazy fans who dress up, entertain the crowd with real dance routines and help make the event special for everyone. A UK Eurovision and Schlager Party page has been set up on facebook to keep party goers informed about upcoming events, post pictures and videos from parties and for people to arrange meeting before the next party.
